Say cheese! The Hopkins team out in force at Frome Agricultural and Cheese Show

It’s The Frome Agricultural and Cheese Show this Saturday and the Hopkins team will be out in force sampling some tasty morsels and showing off what Hopkins have been up to so far in 2015.

The show, held in the pretty Somerset village of West Woodlands, attracts 20,000 visitors each year, with a friendly, family atmosphere and an abundance of fun things to fill the day.

The Hopkins stand will make up part of the trade show, along with 350 other companies, both local and national. The team is looking forward to meeting visitors and taking them through the range of services that Hopkins delivers across the South West.

The show is of course famed for its global cheese exhibition, hailed as ‘a cheese lover’s dream’, where over 1,200 varieties are showcased in the cheese pavilion. This year, celebrity chef Paul Rankin will offer live food demonstrations, giving cheese lovers inspiration for ways of using their purchases at home.

As an agricultural show there are also various animal related attractions, with the main ring showcasing horse jumping and animal parades, to dedicated animal marquees and an animal nursery.

The Showground offers free car parking and a free bus service will operate from various locations in Frome, helping to make it an affordable family day out both for locals and those visiting from out of the area.

Trevor Burt, Hopkins Concrete General Manager says: “As a proud Somerset company, the Hopkins team love to get involved with local events. The company has been busy this year, with additional services and expansion with our new Bridgwater site and the show gives us a chance to share this news and have some face time with our valued customers.”
